The wonderful brooch depicts a star which has 16 points and is adorned with sparkling white Paste Stones graduating in size.
Star images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. They sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
