This fabulous antique Victorian Sterling Silver Blue Butterfly winged brooch is Circa 1900.

Butterfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Era.

The fabulous Butterfly boasts vibrant coloured butterfly wings which shimmer between blue, turquoise and purple with the light.

Butterfly wing jewellery derives it’s fabulous pattern and colour from the wings of various species of butterfly. The wings are only collected after the butterfly has passed away and are given new life in these stunning jewellery pieces that show off their natural beauty.

The wings are topped with a smooth protective Rock Crystal casing, enhancing and magnifying the beautiful colours beneath.

The brooch is hallmarked ‘925’ on the reverse for Sterling Silver and fitted with a secure pin and C-catch.

This is a beautiful, collectable brooch that looks fabulous when worn, a great talking piece.
